To commemorate the 94th birthday of Nancy Drew, the wonderful folks at The Happy Hollisters are reissuing these mysteries for a whole new generation. They have done that with the lovely Happy Hollister series and with the Hardy Boys series. At the heart of this company are the grandchildren of Andrew Svenson, aka, Jerry West, the author of the series. He contributed quite a bit to other childrens' series. What a wonderful legacy he left not only his family but families all over the world who want their children to have truly wholesome reading. Nancy is always kind and well-mannered. Her character is above reproach. The same is true of Joe and Frank Hardy and all of those sweet Hollister children. This is so exciting. The Svenson family currently markets their books at Homeschool conventions--MARVELOUS.
Now, I am going to have to work on my Nancy Drew shelf. It is in need of some attention in the hallway!
Since this picture was taken, I have added some volumes, AND our daughter has given me a cache of older volumes that I need to integrate into my collection.
